Five6Seven8 is thrilled to present a Fosse-Inspired Jazz Class with the incredible Kiruna Lind and Hugo Madeleyn.
This is your chance to learn from two of South Africa’s most accomplished performers and experience the signature style of one of musical theatre’s most iconic choreographers—Bob Fosse.
What to Expect
In this 90-minute intensive, you’ll dive into the sharp, slick, and stylish movements that define Fosse’s legendary choreography. Perfect for dancers of all levels, this class is designed to help you:
- Explore Fosse’s unique style, including isolations, jazz hands, and theatrical flair
- Develop your musicality and stage presence
- Build confidence in your performance skills
- Participate in a Q&A with Kiruna & Hugo to learn about their professional theatre journeys
To fully embrace the vibe of the class, attendees are encouraged to wear all black.
About the Instructors
Hugo Madeleyn graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Musical Theatre from Tshwane University of Technology in 2014 and has since performed in major productions like High School Musical (Asia tour), Doringrosie, Fantasy of Lights, and Chicago The Musical on national and international tours. Hugo has also featured in TV and film projects such as 7de Laan, Phil 101, Knapse Kerels, and As Jy Sing. As a respected choreographer and teacher, Hugo specialises in Fosse workshops and has worked on large concerts and corporate events.
Kiruna Lind matriculated from The National School of the Arts in Johannesburg as a Top Dance Learner. Her theatre credits include Mamma Mia!, The Phantom of The Opera (world tour), Saturday Night Fever, Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Evita, Stepping Into Fire, Fantastic Mr Fox, Sinbad, and Simply Broadway. Most recently, she played Roxie Hart in Showtime’s Chicago The Musical. Kiruna is also a singer-songwriter and voice artist, often performing with jazz musician David Cousins.
